Everyday Match Report

Editorial policy

Everyday Match Report aims to make its explanations clear, considered and fair. We distinguish description from opinion, avoid presenting taste as fact and make updates when a meaningful error is brought to our attention.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against appropriate material before publication and write with the limits of an explanation in mind. Where a point is interpretive or preferences may reasonably differ, the wording should make that clear. We do not invent tests, experience or supporting evidence.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers and the publication's subject. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or determine an editorial conclusion. We aim to explain comparisons in balanced terms rather than presenting one taste or approach as universally correct.

Corrections

Readers can use the Contact page to point out an error or unclear passage. We review the concern and correct material when warranted. Significant changes should be identified in the article so readers can understand what was revised.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence; where used, they should be identified as such and should not be mistaken for documentary photographs.
